Crystal Bling Browband

Bling Is The New Black!

Posted by Sarah Crampton on

Browbands with bling have arrived and the equestrian world has received them with open arms. It's a fabulous way to update your current bridle by simply replacing your plain leather browband with the new fancier trend of browbands with bling. And just like that; you have what looks like a whole new bridle!

The bling browbands are a welcome change for the dressage world. The dressage community has been historically steeped in tradition, and a conservative tradition at that. Dressage riders rode in competitions with black coats, black helmets, white shirts and white stock ties, white breeches and black boots. That's it. However, recently the world of dressage has started to loosen up on the rules about show attire for you and your horse.  Bling is in. Big time. You will see almost all dressage horses wearing a browband with crystals of all colors. The colored blingy browband often matches the saddle pad, and even the color of the rider's coat.

It's just plain fun picking out a blingy browband that reflects your horse's personality. It can also accentuate your horse's color and add a bit of flair. You can have one browband for everyday schooling and an extra special one for horse shows. Showing horses involves a presentation with polish and attention to detail, and the bling browband can add to the overall presentation of you and your horse. Looking your best in the show ring gives you, the rider, a boost of confidence. You ride your best when you're looking your best!
